LIGHTWAVES

Defy common sense and plunge into the water after dark with pro surfers Chippa Wilson and Damien Hobgood in “Lightwaves”. In collaboration with Philips TV, our quest to illuminate perfect surf waves in total darkness was a novel concept to exhibit the power of light. Shot on location in the Maldives and the Wadi Adventure Wave Pool in Dubai, this is surfing in another paradigm, shifting the boundary of possibility.

Our surfers were equipped with a specially-designed LED surfboard weighing over 30 pounds and thrust into the glimmering waves in the dark of night. Underwater divers, 5K lights, and over 36 bags and cases of equipment were necessary to bring “Lightwaves” to fruition.
